STORY

I'm a full-stack engineer shaped by fast-moving startup environments — more interested in shipping than theorizing.

Over the past decade, I've worked across full-stack product engineering, robotics, supply chain systems, and AI-assisted workflows — mostly in environments where ambiguity is high, teams are small, and shipping speed matters. Currently based in Tokyo, open to roles where product, engineering, and iteration speed all sit at the same table.

THE WORK THREAD

I didn't come into engineering through a straight line. I taught myself to code, followed curiosity into real projects, and eventually turned that curiosity into a career.

At Geetest, I grew from the sole web developer into the lead of a 10-person engineering team. That period shaped how I think about ownership: not just writing features, but building systems, mentoring teammates, and keeping the product moving as the company scaled.

Later, I joined BITO Robotics, working with Carnegie Mellon researchers on autonomous forklift navigation. At Shucheng AI, I collaborated with a founding team from Stanford and the University of Michigan on warehouse design automation, turning research-heavy ideas into usable web-based systems.

Now in Japan, I'm continuing the same thread: building practical software across new markets, learning from each context, and using engineering as a way to turn ambiguity into something real.

HOW I WORK

I work best in small teams where product direction, architecture, and shipping speed are tightly connected. I like owning ambiguous problems end-to-end: defining the system boundary, choosing pragmatic tools, building the first version, and hardening it until real users can depend on it.

TOKYO // LIFE

Outside of work, I'm a dedicated explorer of the quieter side of Tokyo. Every weekend you'll find me at Ueno Park, and my favorite place in all of Japan is Hitachi Seaside Park — especially when the nemophila fields turn the hillside blue. Japan has a way of making ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

GamingDivinity: Original Sin 2 is my all-time favorite. On Switch, nothing beats Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

TV DramasBreaking Bad and Better Call Saul are masterpieces. I'm a devoted citizen of the Vince Gilligan universe.

MangaDragon Ball and One Piece are classics. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is quietly redefining the genre.

FoodWagyu is a philosophy, not just a meal. I take Tokyo's meat scene very seriously.

Tokyo gives me a rhythm I didn't know I needed — weekdays deep in code, weekends in parks, good food, manga, and whatever game has my attention that month.

Started in Wuhan. Landed in Tokyo. Next stop — still exploring.
